St. Charles County
HVAC & Plumbing in Augusta, MO
The short answer
Yes — Budget Heating, Cooling & Plumbing covers Augusta, including rural properties outside town. We're family-owned, based in St. Peters, and have worked across St. Charles County since 2009. Expect upfront pricing, licensed and insured technicians, and same-day availability for most heating, cooling, and plumbing calls.
Augusta sits in the wine country hills at the southwestern edge of St. Charles County, up on the bluffs above the Missouri River and the Katy Trail. Budget Heating, Cooling & Plumbing repairs and replaces furnaces, air conditioners, water heaters, and plumbing out here, running trucks from our shop in St. Peters.
This is not subdivision territory, and we don’t treat it that way. Many houses in and around downtown Augusta go back a hundred years or more. Others are spread across acreage off Highway 94, where a breakdown can’t wait for a company that “gets out that way eventually.” We schedule Augusta like anywhere else in the county: same-day when we can, with the price quoted upfront before work starts.
What do older Augusta homes need most?
Three things come up again and again on our Augusta calls.
Heating you can trust in a drafty old house. Vintage homes lose heat fast, so an aging furnace gets pushed hard every winter. If yours is short-cycling or the heat feels weak, our furnace repair techs can usually diagnose it in one visit.
Cooling without tearing the house apart. Plenty of Augusta’s older homes were never ducted, and window units only get you so far in July. Ductless mini-splits heat and cool room by room with no ductwork at all — a clean fit for historic construction, guest cottages, and finished outbuildings.
Hot water and plumbing that keep up. Older supply lines, aging tanks, and homes on private wells all put extra strain on plumbing. From a leaking tank to no hot water at all, water heater repair is one of our most common calls in the river towns.
Budget has been family-owned since 2009, and we’re licensed and insured for both HVAC and plumbing — one call covers both trades. Homeowners across the county have rated us 4.8 stars on Google, and maintenance plans start at $163.90 if you’d rather catch problems before they strand you.
Whether you’re in the historic district or out along the bluffs, call (636) 887-2800. You can see everywhere else we work on our service area page.

“Tech came out and did an extremely good job getting my outside unit to work. Vernon was a professional from start to finish. Unfortunately we couldn't fix the unit because of the price for freon. But I would highly recommend this company to any of my family and friends!!”

“Cole was very knowledgeable and friendly. He took his time and didnt try to upsell a bun h of unnecessary things when I explained my situation. Patrick and team who returned to do the whole system install did an amazing job . New unit works amazing. Budget also gave us a temporary portable unit while waiting on ours to come in very friendly company. Also over 5k less than the first quote we received!”

“Graham came out to diagnose our AC unit when it stopped working. He quickly identified the issue as a wiring problem and explained that, since the unit was less than two years old, we should contact the original installers to have it addressed under warranty. Even though he wasn’t the one to make the repair, he was knowledgeable, honest, and took the time to explain the problem clearly. Graham was professional, courteous, and very helpful throughout the visit. I appreciate his integrity and would gladly recommend him.”
