• System size (tonnage). Bigger homes need more capacity, and oversizing costs money twice — at purchase and in humidity problems later.

Should I consider a heat pump instead of a straight AC?

Worth asking. A heat pump cools exactly like an air conditioner in summer, then reverses to heat your home in winter — and modern units handle Missouri cold far better than their reputation suggests.
