Our Community Cause

More than heating and cooling.

The Center for Autism Education is special to our family. They've served children and adults with autism in the Greater St. Charles area for more than 20 years — and their school program is right here in St. Peters, our hometown. We put our time, our money, and our name behind helping them succeed.

Our Mission

Comfort with a cause

At Budget, the work goes beyond heating, cooling, and plumbing — for us, it's personal. Our founder,Daniel LaGarce, is the proud father of Jack, a bright and amazing young man with autism. Jack's journey inspires everything we do, and it's why you'll see a puzzle piece — the symbol of autism awareness — on our vans and uniforms.

This is more than business. This is legacy. For Jack. For every child like him. For every family walking the journey. We're here not just to fix what's broken, but to build a better world.

What They Do

Two programs, one mission

Founder Amy Buie started the Center for Autism Education in O'Fallon, Missouri, in 2002 with just 10 students. Since then, the organization has grown to serve more than 350 individuals and their families — and they don't turn anyone away because of challenging behavior.

School Program

A year-round K–12 school program based in St. Peters, partnering with 12 school districts across Greater St. Louis. Every student gets 1:1 or 2:1 support built around their own IEP, plus on-site physical, occupational, and speech therapy.

Adult Day Program

Running since 2010, the Adult Day Program offers day services and ABA-based behavior support for adults with autism — giving families in our community a place their loved ones can grow and belong.

Our Commitment

How we put the mission to work

Empowering families through knowledge

From diagnosis to daily care, we help connect families of individuals with special needs to tools, education, and advocacy that make a real difference.

Giving back with every service

A portion of our revenue is donated to organizations that support children with special needs — most notably The Center for Autism Education, where we're proud members and personally involved. Every install, repair, and service call helps create opportunity.

Opportunity through the trades

We believe in inclusion. We're building pathways for individuals with disabilities to find meaningful training and employment in HVAC and plumbing — purpose and independence through work.

Partnering with purpose

We seek out vendors, manufacturers, and suppliers who share our vision, so their support fuels real-world impact in the autism and special-needs community.
