HVAC & Plumbing in St. Charles, MO
The short answer
From the brick houses off historic Main Street to newer builds in New Town, Budget handles heating, cooling, and plumbing across St. Charles. Our shop is minutes away in St. Peters, so same-day appointments are realistic. Family-owned since 2009, licensed and insured, with upfront pricing on every job.
St. Charles is the oldest city on the Missouri River and served as Missouri’s first state capital, and plenty of its houses have the age to prove it. Budget Heating, Cooling & Plumbing works on all of them — the brick homes a few blocks off Main Street, the mid-century ranches around Blanchette Park and Lindenwood, and the newer construction out in New Town — from our shop just west in St. Peters.
Old houses are our favorite kind of puzzle, and this city is full of them. Down near Frontier Park and the Katy Trail, we regularly see homes where three eras of remodeling are stacked on top of each other: a boiler swapped for a furnace, ducts snaked through closets, galvanized supply lines feeding modern fixtures. Work like that rewards a company that has seen it before and prices the job honestly upfront, which is how we’ve operated since 2009.
How do you cool a house that was never built for AC?
Two ways, usually. If the home already has workable ductwork, central air is on the table. If it doesn’t — and many Main Street-era houses don’t — ductless mini-splits cool and heat individual rooms with just a small line through the wall, no duct demolition required. They’ve become our go-to recommendation for St. Charles’ historic housing, second floors that never cool down, and converted attics.
The other constant in older St. Charles is what’s underground. Clay sewer laterals and decades-old drain lines invite roots and repeat clogs, so drain cleaning is a weekly event for us here. And with basements sitting this close to the Missouri River’s water table, we install and service plenty of sump pumps too.
New Town and the city’s newer subdivisions get the flip side of our attention: maintenance, warranty-age repairs, and water heaters reaching their first replacement.
Budget is family-owned, holds a 4.8 rating on Google, and offers maintenance plans from $163.90. Call (636) 887-2800, or see all the towns we cover at areas we service.

“Tech came out and did an extremely good job getting my outside unit to work. Vernon was a professional from start to finish. Unfortunately we couldn't fix the unit because of the price for freon. But I would highly recommend this company to any of my family and friends!!”

“Cole was very knowledgeable and friendly. He took his time and didnt try to upsell a bun h of unnecessary things when I explained my situation. Patrick and team who returned to do the whole system install did an amazing job . New unit works amazing. Budget also gave us a temporary portable unit while waiting on ours to come in very friendly company. Also over 5k less than the first quote we received!”

“Graham came out to diagnose our AC unit when it stopped working. He quickly identified the issue as a wiring problem and explained that, since the unit was less than two years old, we should contact the original installers to have it addressed under warranty. Even though he wasn’t the one to make the repair, he was knowledgeable, honest, and took the time to explain the problem clearly. Graham was professional, courteous, and very helpful throughout the visit. I appreciate his integrity and would gladly recommend him.”
