Troy is the county seat of Lincoln County and the biggest town we serve north of Wentzville. Budget Heating, Cooling & Plumbing handles furnace, AC, and plumbing calls here every week, usually the same day you call.

Troy has grown fast. Drive up Highway 61 and you’ll pass subdivisions that didn’t exist fifteen years ago, then hit a downtown square where some houses predate indoor plumbing. That spread keeps our techs busy in two very different ways. The newer builds are reaching the age where builder-grade air conditioners and water heaters start failing — often all at once across a street, because they were installed the same summer. The older homes near the courthouse bring cast iron drains, undersized ductwork, and furnaces that have outlived their parts supply. We work on both, and we’ll tell you plainly whether a fix or a replacement makes more sense. Start with AC repair or furnace repair and we’ll go from there.

Do you handle homes outside Troy city limits?

Yes. A lot of “Troy” addresses sit outside town toward Cuivre River State Park or off Highway 47, on well water and septic. Hard well water chews through fixtures and water heaters out there, which is why we install a lot of water softeners in this part of Lincoln County. If your pressure tank, softener, or well-fed plumbing is acting up, that’s normal work for us, not a special trip.

What about the newer subdivisions near the R-III schools?

Not every Troy problem is old-house trouble. The subdivisions that grew up around the Lincoln County R-III schools over the past couple of decades brought builder-grade air conditioners and furnaces sized to pass inspection, not to run efficiently for thirty years. Those systems are old enough now to need real attention — units that run constantly on the hottest days and still can’t hold the thermostat, ductwork that leaves a bonus room ten degrees warmer than the hallway. When a family on one of those newer streets calls about a system that won’t keep up, we check the sizing before we touch anything else, because sometimes the honest answer isn’t a repair — it’s that the original equipment was undersized from day one. A proper AC installation accounts for the whole house, not the spec sheet a builder used to hit a price point.

Why call a St. Peters company instead of waiting?

Because waiting is usually the problem. Our shop on Mid Rivers Mall Drive is a straight shot up 61, and we keep same-day slots open for Lincoln County. We’ve been family-owned since 2009, we’re licensed, bonded, and insured, and our 4.8 Google rating comes from showing up when we said we would. You get the price in writing before work starts — no surprises when the truck leaves.
